Director of Racquet Sports, Bellerive Country Club, St. Louis, MO. Historic Bellerive Country Club, located in St. Louis, MO, is seeking to fill its Director of Racquet Sports position. Bellerive is known for its rich golf history, being one of only three clubs in America to host all four traveling men’s majors, and most recently hosting the highly successful 100th PGA Championship in August of 2018. In addition to its well-known golf operation, the Bellerive amenity set includes bocce courts, a family pool (with swim team), junior camp (Camp Bellerive), a versatile food & beverage program and a multi-faceted racquets program consisting of tennis, pickleball and paddle tennis.

2019 will mark a milestone for Bellerive as the Club is set to open a new “best in class” racquets facility around Memorial Day. The new facility will include five hydrocourt clay courts, one hard court (including junior tennis shading), six pickleball courts and two paddle tennis courts. Additionally, the facility will feature two social spaces. The ultimate goal of the racquets program is to become a hub of family activity at the Club

Purpose and Objectives: The Director of Racquet Sports will lead the entire racquets department to include staffing, instruction, marketing/ Member engagement, social events and pro shop merchandising for tennis, pickleball and paddle tennis. The individual will be part of the staff leadership team and play an important piece of creating a culture of excellence for Members, guests and staff.

Process & Deadline

A thoughtful interview process will commence before end of year with the expectation that the Director will be hired in early 2019 to prepare for the upcoming facility opening and 2019 season.  The deadline to submit an application is November 30, 2018
